Reunion 2012

Dear 1992 Classmate,

Our Mount Holyoke College Class of 1992 20th Reunion will be May 18-20, 2012. I hope that everyone will save the date and plan to come back to MHC for a fun and interesting weekend to reconnect with old friends and, likely, make some new ones!

The campus has grown and changed so much since 1992! It is still beautiful and is well-equipped to meet the challenges of women's education now. Please come and see for yourself.

The Class of 1992 Reunion Planning Committee has been meeting by conference call monthly and has already begun planning a wonderful program with lots of fun activities as well as time for just "catching up". Thank you very much to those of you who have volunteered! And to those of you wishing to get involved, please check out the Class of 1992 web page (www.mhc1992.com), Facebook page or LinkedIn site for ways to connect. We also have a series of mini-reunions coming to a spot near you, so keep an eye out for invitations.

In honor of our 20th Reunion, we are aiming for the ambitious, but achievable, goal of 45% class participation and a gift of $80,000 to the Annual Fund. We are already one-quarter of the way to our dollar goal, thanks to those of you who have already sent in your donation. Imagine what we can do if each one of you shows her class pride by making a gift! And be sure to make your plans now to join us for the 20th Reunion May 18-20, 2012. Mark your calendar, check your airline miles, and call a roommate or friend. COME!!!

Our class Nominating Committee will be developing the slate of officers to be elected at the Reunion Class Meeting. If you wish to offer suggestions, please contact a committee member. The names and contact information for the Nominating Committee, and all Class Officers, are on the Class of 1992 web page.

The Alumnae Association advises us that reunions normally cost about $350 for the entire weekend. We are very conscious of everyone's financial crunches and limits, so we will do our best to pare down costs as we plan.

We are all very privileged to have had the benefits of our Mount Holyoke experience, and we encourage you to come to back to campus May 18-20, 2012 to reconnect with your classmates and friends and re-experience some wonderful MHC moments.

Dear Class of 1992 - Our 20th Reunion is almost a year away! The date is May 18-20, 2012. We are starting to build a great team of classmates to help in planning a fun-filled few days back on campus. We hope that you will be inspired to get involved in the planning process; to re-connect with friends; make new friends; and, to continue to build upon the special bond that we have with MHC and each other.

Volunteers needed!

We are looking for reunion volunteers to help with costumes, hospitality, Saturday night's dinner, clean-up and other activities. No special skills are necessary for any of these positions! Just a willingness to help out. Please contact Kate Kiernan (katekp3@gmail.com) or Lori Hendricks (lahendri@mtholyoke.edu) if you are interested in helping out.

Class theme

Some classes chose reunion themes to tie our reunion activities together. We are soliciting ideas for a theme for our 20th. If you have any thoughts, please email Lori and me at the addresses above.

Awards

Each reunion awards are given to alumnae for a variety of service. The deadline for the Alumnae Medal of Honor is coming up July 31. The Alumnae Medal of Honor is awarded to alumnae fo eminent service in promoting the effectiveness of the Alumnae Association, for device in completing definite projects undertaken by the College, or for other noteworthy services that strengthen the position of the College.
